2008 Libertarian State Convention
Our state convention was held June 13-15 in Fort Worth. We had a great turnout, and among other events, we made our nominations for statewide offices.

Texas Libertarians show excellent results
Highlights from the November 2006 election:
- 29 Libertarians received over 20% of the vote (including county offices).
- Bob Smither received 6.1% in Congressional District 22, a new record.
- Linda Wilbert received 18.5% in a three-way race for Brazos County JP.
- Matt Finkel received 34.5% in a race for Travis County JP. This was one of the highest percentages received by any Libertarian in a contested partisan race in the U.S. in 2006.
